Video FAQ
Webster's dictionary defines a video
as: a
stream of frames and sound samples that fuse into pure
magic. And each video at Page Of Bob is just that.
Pure magic.

What formats are your idiotic videos in?
PageOfBob.com offers its idiotic videos in two formats. The first and probably more common is in Flash Video format, which you can stream directly in your browser. The second, Ogg, (technically Ogg Theora) is a free format with free and open-source players available.
See the other questions for more info.
Where can I get the Flash plugin?
From Adobe, silly!
What the crap is Ogg?
Ogg, or more specifically Ogg Theora, is the preferred choice of video format
for linux and open-source software fans. This is because it offers high quality
encoding, low file sizes, and is free from the restrictions and bullshit EULA that
other free
players have.
Also, unlike many other formats, implementations of Ogg Theora are available for most decent platforms for free, legally.
How do I play an Ogg file?
It depends a lot on your platform.
Windows users will probably want to install the Ogg Direct Show Plugins, followed by an ogg-aware video player, such as the popular and excellent VLC player.
Linux nerds will want to check with their distro. Ubuntu and many others already have support built-in.
Mac geeks will probably want to look here. I don't really know, as I don't have a Mac.
I hate Flash!
So do I. That's why I recommend using Firefox in conjunction with either FlashBlock or NoScript.
Or if you're really hardcore, use Ogg instead.
I'm a linux user!
What, do you want me to give you a medal or something?
A special thanks
A special thanks to Jeroen Wijering for the video-playing Flash script. I'll likely replace it with something custom some day, but for now, it's very nice.
